Founder Institute Bangladesh and EMK Center host seminar on entrepreneurship



Founder Institute Bangladesh and EMK Center jointly hosted a seminar titled, “How to create an Impactful Company in Dhaka”, recently.
The seminar held one panel discussion from three prominent tech entrepreneurs of Dhaka. The discussion was moderated by Minhaz Anwar, Founder of Better Stories Limited, And Co-Director Of Founder Institute Bangladesh. The panelists were Siffat Sarwar, Co-founder of ShopUp, Armin Zaman Khan, Founder of Romoni.xyz and Mahmudul Hasan Shohag, Chairman of OnnoRokom Group. The programme was hosted by Joya Chowdhury, Local Director of Founder Institute Bangladesh.
Armin’s Romoni.xyz is a beauty and tailoring service which started in 2006. Today, it is one of the leading beauty service shops online. Armin believes that new content creation and customer selection is the key to success.
“Most importantly, you need remember to never giving up,” said Siffat Sarwar, while sharing her story of becoming an entrepreneur. She started ShopUp as a social commerce and marketing company, allowing small e-commerce companies to restructure their promotion, order management, and delivery tactics. ShopUp allowed small e-commerce entrepreneurs to manage their orders and support their products, irrespective of whether they have credit cards or not and then, helping them to manage their logistics in better ways.
Mahmudul Hasan Shohag, who owns eight ventures, including Udvash, Pi Labs and Rokomari, shared his insights on email marketing, customer selection, and business growth.
