Private University Rankings 2019: North South number one
Among the Top 10 universities, all scored 60+ out of the maximum attainable 100, whereas in 2017, a score of 56.47 was sufficient for a Top 10 spot
Comparing this year’s ranking to 2017, the most obvious change is North South University’s ascension to number one. The university had a lead in the Perceptual Score against Brac in 2017. This year, the margin has widened. While Brac has maintained its lead in the Factual Score, the wider lead in the Perceptual Score has enabled NSU to pull through.
NSU’s and Brac’s final score however, are very close—77.11 to 75.63. In 2017, Brac had a wider margin with 78.95 to 71.13.
East West University, one of the oldest and largest private universities, jumped up to third position, from last year’s seven. This is owing to a jump in its factual score.
One point of note is that after NSU, Brac and East West, come IUB, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, AIUB, Daffodil International University, United International University, Ulab and finally the University of Asia Pacific—in this order—and that they are the same 10 universities from the Top 10 list in 2017.
